The International Cool Climate Wine Symposium (ICCWS) is a wine industry conference fondly thought of as the Olympics of the wine industry as it takes place once every four years, in a different country each time.  Four years ago, whilst at the 2012 Tasmania symposium, England won the bid to host the ICCWS 2016.

A not for profit organisation, the ICCWS 2016 was planned & managed by roughly 100 volunteers across various committees, made up of individuals from every notable wine body in the country including UKVA, SEVA, WSTA, EWP & Plumpton college.

Nearly 600 delegates from across the globe attended lectures and seminars from the world's leading producers & experts in cool climate viticulture, wine making, research and promotion.  The 3 day event took place across four venues, including the Brighton museum, Brighton Sea life centre, Hotel Du Vin and the Brighton Hilton Metropole, incorporated 29 seminars,  100 speakers, a gala dinner, opening ceremony and networking events, 12 wine tasting sessions, 15,000 glasses & 3 tonnes of ice.
